Did you know that Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service delivers Safe and Well visits as part of the Home Fire Safety Check service?

These are person-centred home visits that go beyond traditional fire safety checks to consider a wider range of health and wellbeing needs.

During these visits, staff will engage in conversations about issues such as mobility, mental wellbeing, smoking, or social isolation.

Where additional needs are identified, LFRS staff will actively signpost or refer individuals to trusted partner organisations - such as health services, social care, housing providers, or voluntary and community groups - ensuring people can access further advice, practical support, and specialist interventions.

If staff believe that you have a higher risk of having a fire, your contact details will be sent to the LFRS Contact Centre who will arrange a home fire safety check visit with you.
