LRF looks to the future at annual event
Preparedness Day promotes partnership working to support greater resilience in communities
The Lancashire Resilience Forum held its annual Preparedness Day this week.
More than 80 people involved in emergency planning from across the county came together to discuss the Forum's new three year strategy and how organisations and individuals could support its implementation.
As part of the strategy there was a major focus on developing partnerships and enhancing the resilience of our communities and a targeted session on managing the county's greatest risks.
The day ended with a panel of key LRF members answering questions about current projects while looking ahead to what future initiatives and innovation projects the LRF could focus on.
Reflecting on the event Kev Topping from the LRF, said: "The day was extremely successful as it got a host of influential people together to talk about how everyone can play their part in making the LRF even stronger going forward.
"It was great to see so many people from a wide range of organisations getting involved in conversations about how we could make Lancashire even more prepared to respond to and recover from emergencies and it will be great to see that work come to fruition over the next few years.''
