Forum trains a record number of people
Close to 800 people receive valuable training over the past year
The Lancashire Resilience Forum supported the training of a record number of people and organisations in the last 12 months.
More than 790 people took part in multi-agency training sessions organised by the Forum with 50 organisations across the county represented over the past 12 months, both increases on the figures from 2023/24.
Headline figures show that in 2024/25:
# 791 individuals attended LRF training compared to 673 the year before.
# 439 CPD certificates were distributed compared to 308 the year before.
# 50 organisations were represented compared to 43 the previous year.
# 540 feedback forms were completed compared to 368 the previous year.
Although representatives from the emergency services remain the highest number of attendees there were welcome increases in the number of people from voluntary organisations, wider supporting responders and local businesses who attended the courses which covered covered a wide range of subjects such as JESIP, strategic leadership and multi-agency incident training.
Hannah Sutton, LRF Business Manager, said: “We are delighted to see such a positive increase in the number of people from our partners attending our courses over the past 12 months.
“The courses are designed to help raise awareness and knowledge of emergency procedures and ensure closer working relationships between our partners so they are better prepared for any incidents that may have an effect on our communities.
“This all plays a major part in the Forum’s desire to keep our people as safe as possible and we will continue to focus on delivering high standard training and development.’’
