Bonfire Night is almost here – do you know the rules around fireworks?

Before you celebrate, take a moment to make sure you know what's legal and what's not:

  • You must be 18 or over to buy fireworks or sparklers.

  • Anyone under 18 is not allowed to possess fireworks in a public place.

  • Being caught with fireworks in public could result in an £80 fixed penalty notice.

  • Fireworks must not be let off between 11pm and 7am.

Breaking the law could lead to a fine, prosecution, or more serious consequences.

Enjoy Bonfire Night, stay safe, and celebrate responsibly.
