LRF-funded sessions provide valuable learning for partners
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) is supporting Business Safety Week, September 5-11, to make businesses aware of their fire safety responsibilities in the workplace.
The National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) initiative is aimed at small and medium sized companies, and provides the opportunity to let them know there is protection help and advice available to them all year round.
The NFCC warns businesses will be seeing significant challenges at the moment due to the economic climate, which could impact on fire safety in the workplace. Business owners are therefore encouraged to work with fire and rescue services to ensure they are complying with fire safety law and reduce their risk of fire.
LFRS can help business-owners understand their responsibilities in relation to fire safety in their premises. The service can also offer advice to ensure that the risk of fire in the workplace is minimised, and that the right precautions are taken to ensure legal fire safety requirements are met.
